One of my favorite things about business and how it differs from the popular conception of business is that it really is all about human relationships (not cold Machiavellian sorcery, although there definitely is that too).
If you make a habit of doing the right thing when it's the hard thing to do and practice overcommunication with those that you are business-intimate with then you can create wildly creative solutions that end with people being better off than they were before.
It's not that bad things don't happen or that scarcity isn't real, if you are doing business people will get upset, they will take things personally, and they will do crazy Machiavellian stunts that turn the potential for a win-win situation into a lose-lose situation (and maybe you will do these things too).
But if you are realistic about those issues you can sometimes mitigate them and on a longer time frame, you can end up doing magic with business and contribute to a better world.
A quick caveat on how doing business with someone is a deeply intimate relationship. When money is involved there is a flow of energy and that energy has the stench of intimacy. The intimacy of business is VERY different than the intimacy of romantic relationships but it is intimate
