It's all subjective
Business is primarily about dealing with other people. Sure there is individual contributor work, but the real value of any business organization comes from the management of humans and weaving individual contributors into a larger whole.
In the realm of physics or other sciences, there are objective facts that cannot be disagreed with:
Drop an apple from a tree and it will land on the ground with a calculable force based on certain variables like the mass of the apple, friction from the wing, height of the tree, etc.
With business there are very few things that work like this. We humans are meaning making machines and each one of us has a different way of making meaning from any given situation.
This leads us into the realm of inner work, spiritual practice, coaching or therapy (many names for the same thing).
If you want to get better at business improve your ability to see reality clearly and make the meaning that will most effectively move you into alignment with reality.
The issue (and the opportunity) with this is that all of us are filtering reality through our reality-distorting and meaning-making apparatus: the central nervous system, and all the conditioning that our central nervous system has undergone its entire life.
So when seeking external help for internal issues, it makes sense to choose something that works for you, not something that is prescribed by society at large or someone else. This requires inquiry and digging.
What are the subjective needs and wants you have in your life that you want guidance about?
If you’d like to some pointers on how to do this, please feel free to send me a message. I’ve worked with the best and have a long list of people I have experience with.
